Ingredients (for 2 people):
- 500 g of fresh prawns
- Flour
- Salt and pepper
- Garlic
- Sunflower oil for frying
Preparation:
- Cleaning prawns: Nikos’ trick – instead of cutting off the head, he cuts the shell from head to tail with sharp scissors. The shell is easy to remove, without any trouble.

- Wash the prawns under cold water and dry them with a paper towel.
- Roll the prawns in flour mixed with spices (garlic, salt and pepper to taste), shake off the excess and fry them in heated olive oil on medium heat.
Tips
- Key tip: Fry the prawns until they turn orange (about 2-3 minutes per side). Do not keep them on the fire for too long.
- Remove the prawns and serve with lemon wedges or your favorite side dish (tzatziki sauce, Greek salad or French fries go well together).
