Cheese from Pirot, stone-ground flour from watermills, nettle syrup, goat whey, horse sausages and prosciutto of various kinds – these are just some of the traditional products you can find at Super Vero. They are made with dedication and care by small family farms across Serbia. Alongside them, you’ll also discover green pepper preserves with truffles, fruit snacks enriched with chia and flax seeds, young pine shoot syrup, frozen organic sour cherries and many other specialties crafted by small producers – proving that in Serbia, tradition and modern gourmet creations can thrive side by side.
A TREASURE OF FLAVORS FROM SERBIA AT SUPER VERO
We invite you to visit Super Vero until October 20th and discover the hidden gems of the traditional “Treasure of Flavors from Serbia.” With this project, we aim to revive and showcase the cultural and gastronomic heritage of our country. By browsing through the leaflet, you’ll uncover fascinating stories – about Neolithic ladies from Župa, about autochthonous grape varieties still cultivated today, about the connection between Stefan Nemanja and one of the oldest vineyards in the Balkans, and many more curiosities about Serbia.
The spotlight is, of course, on authentic products you once brought home as souvenirs from travels around Serbia. Now, they are right here – in Novi Sad and Belgrade, exclusively at Super Vero.
Through “Treasure of Flavors from Serbia,” we want to bring you closer to the richness of our heritage and remind you of the legacy our ancestors left us – one we continue to preserve for future generations. That’s why every year we continue the search for valuable gastronomic treasures and expand the offer, both during the campaign and throughout the year. You, too, can take part in supporting small local suppliers, as we give them space to grow under their own name. Products you love the most remain part of our assortment and gain a chance to reach beyond our system. We are proud when we see the success of those for whom “Treasure of Flavors from Serbia” at Super Vero was a springboard. These are wonderful personal stories, which is why this project is especially close to our heart.
