Serbian Open Paraathletics Championship
SUPER VERO SUPPORTS THE PARALYMPICS OF SERBIA
More than 50 participants took part in the most important parathletics gathering
Super Vero supermarket retail chain, sponsor of the Serbian Paralympic Committee, supported the organization of the third Open Championship of Serbia in athletics throwing disciplines with great pleasure. The championship was held on May 15 in Krusevac.
During the championship, more than 50 participants from the country and abroad competed. Athletes from Serbia, Greece, Montenegro and the Czech Republic competed for a place in the upcoming European Championship championship in Poland, and the Paralympic Games in Tokyo at the same time. Extremely strong competition has shown that the earlier period was marked by the hard work of athletes, as well as the popularization of paraathletical disciplines.
The best paraathletes competed in several disciplines, including club throw, discus throw, shot put and javelin throw.
At the upcoming Paralympic Games a record number of Paralympians – 18 of them will represent the colours of Serbia. ‘We have been driven by the desire to contribute to the work of the Paralympic Committee of Serbia for years and thus we are their proud sponsor. We will be with our Paralympians and support theirs successes, records and medals in future as well’, said Maja Kosic Vuckovic, the marketing director of Veropoulos company, which includes the brands Super Vero and Jumbo.
The third Open Championship of Serbia was organized by the Athletic Section of the Paralympic Committee of Serbia with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the City of Krusevac and Athletic Club Krusevac.
