Plum cake

Prepare a quick and easy plum cake. Delight your loved ones with this delicious treat. 😊

Ingredients:

  • 500 g fresh plums
  • 200 g sugar
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 ml oil
  • 200 ml milk
  • A pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar for sprinkling (optional)

Preparation:

Wash the plums, halve them, and remove the pits.

In one bowl, mix the flour and baking powder. Separately, beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy. Add the oil and milk, and mix well. Gradually add the flour and baking powder mixture, stirring until you get a smooth batter. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a baking pan or line it with baking paper. Pour the batter into the pan and spread it evenly. Arrange the halved plums on top of the batter, gently pressing them in.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Once the cake has cooled slightly, sprinkle it with powdered sugar.

Tip: Add grated lemon zest for an extra rich flavor.
