Refreshing melon and prosciutto salad

Salads are always a good choice due to their nutritional value and quick preparation. Melon, as the main ingredient, provides hydration and sweetness, while prosciutto offers a salty contrast.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe melon
  • 200 g thinly sliced prosciutto
  • 150 g mixed green salad (arugula, spinach, lettuce)
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 50 g crumbled feta cheese

Balsamic dressing:

  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

Wash the melon, cut it in half, and remove the seeds. Then slice it into thin wedges or cubes. Thinly slice the prosciutto and wrap it around the melon slices. Wash and dry the mixed green salad, and slice the cucumber into thin rounds. In a large bowl, combine the green salad and cucumber. Add the melon slices wrapped in prosciutto and sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese on top. Mix the balsamic vinegar, honey, mustard, olive oil, salt, and pepper to make the balsamic dressing. Drizzle the dressing over the salad just before serving.

For added flavor, you can sprinkle sesame seeds. Feta cheese can be substituted with goat cheese or Parmesan, if desired.
