Greek-style chicken drumsticks

They say that the Greeks are the people who live longer, whether because of the convenient geographical position, the mild Mediterranean climate, and perhaps mostly because of the high-quality food based on the elixir of longevity – olive oil. In this group we must include everything that this country has in abundance. From fresh fruits and vegetables, seafood to cheeses, fish and lean meat (beef, lamb and chicken)

That’s why we present you a recipe for chicken drumstick prepared in the Greek way, the ingredients of which you don’t have to look for, we have everything. 😉

Components:

  • 4 chicken drumstick with carb stick;
  • 150g of mozzarella (or feta cheese);
  • 10 olives;
  • Juice of one lemon;
  • 3 cloves of garlic (or a teaspoon of garlic powder);
  • 3 spoons of olive oil;
  • A teaspoon each of basil, thyme and mint;
  • ½ teaspoon of ground pepper;
  • 2 teaspoons of salt;
  • Butter for greasing baking trays.

Preparation

Make a marinade of lemon, chopped garlic, olive oil and all the spices. Put the chicken drumsticks with carabataki in a bowl, cover with the marinade and leave to stand for half an hour. Grease the tray with butter. arrange the drumsticks, cover them with the remaining marinade and bake in an oven heated to 200C for about 35 minutes, depending on the strength of the oven. Grate mozzarella or feta cheese over the drumsticks, add olives and bake at the same temperature for another 15 minutes.

Serve warm with a side dish of rice or potatoes and salad.
